Over my tenure at House Hunters International, I’ve delivered over 1000 animated maps and globes.

In 2019 my colleagues and I at Leopard USA came to HGTV with the idea for a brand refresh. We saw the time was ripe for updating the 2D graphics package with a more engaging 3D redesign. The network loved the idea and allowed us to create an entirely new package. Everything from the lower thirds to the show’s maps and globes was given a makeover. 2D maps became 3D, adding a whole new level of complexity to the workflow.

In 2021, HGTV started screening on Dish Satellite in 4K. They required higher-resolution graphics to fit the new technology. I led a conversion of our render pipeline to 4K and 60fps, troubleshooting workarounds for increased packet size, and dramatically longer render times.

In 2023 and 2024 to stay on-top of software advances I adopted the latest Cinema particle and pyro systems. To add more realism and information density to our maps, I adopted the use of Cloud VDBs, new HDRIs, and redesigned textures.
